Doug Terry was born and raised in Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma Law School, where he graduated in 1993 (with distinction) and was named to the Oklahoma Law Review. He has been practicing law in the Oklahoma City area ever since.  Doug is proud to have earned a Martindale-Hubbell “AV Preeminent” rating from his peers in the legal community, and to have been selected as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer.  Today, Doug’s practice is diverse, but he focuses on three areas of emphasis:  insurance bad faith, personal injury and class actions.

Doug’s insurance bad faith experience runs deep.  He has handled significant bad faith cases for over 20 years.  His clients have included people and companies who have had their insurance claims denied, delayed or otherwise mishandled by insurance companies.  Doug has successfully resolved, by either settlement or verdict, numerous cases involving a wide array of insurance claims including health, major medical, automobile, homeowners, disability, life and commercial insurance on behalf of clients who have been treated unjustly by insurance companies in a myriad of ways.

In addition, Doug dedicates a substantial part of his practice to standing up for the rights of people who have sustained serious personal injuries as a result of industrial accidents, product failures, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice and other causes. He has helped numerous people and their families over the years who were confronted with wrongful death or serious injuries resulting from the negligence of others.

Doug has also been involved in the successful prosecution of major class actions against large corporations in various courts around the country, including insurance companies and others.

Doug has a proven track record of successfully litigating, settling and trying lawsuits for his clients. He takes pride in his reputation as a professional, aggressive, effective advocate for his clients.
